Cambios… Otra vez (Changes Again)

Well I hope that eveyone had a great week! Again shoutout to Fremont Football! Best of Luck boys! Well I had three weeks in Texmelucan and I thought for sure that I was going to be staying. I knew that my companion would be transfered for sure because he had 6 months in the area. Well we got a call on Wednesday and I thought I was going to train a new missionary. Well they told us not what I was expecting at all! They told us that we were closing area and both would be transfered. After that on Saturday I got a call from President and he called me to be a Zone Leader por la Zona Tlaxcala Norte. So I’m currenetly with Elder Mejia and it is my first day here in Apizaco my new area.

So this past week we were able to finish the week well and leave the area in good shape. We worked hard with the members so that they can stay in touch with our investigators until missionaries return to that area.

Also in Texmelucan this week there were a bunch of people getting mugged, and stealing cars. So one night we were with a member talking with him and all of the sudden people started running into the street and then we went out and there were police every where. There was like 20 police on motorcycles circling the area and all exits were blocked off by police cars! It was sweet! I felt like I was in a movie! I think the dude got away though….

Well I love you all!

Bombs Away

Well first off I just would like everyone to know that I’m doing so much better! hahah I’m not dying anymore! Well after I wrote last week, I was just so tired and sick, so we went and bought some meds and in about 20 minutes I was up and going and I have been great ever since! Thanks for the prayers I know that they helped. Also, shout out to my cousin Morgan cause she leaves on her mission next week!  And, shout out to Fremont football and my bro Cooper! Ladies he’s single 😉

I’m starting to find my way around town here and I’m liking it. There are lots of people that are ready to listen to the gospel. This week will be a little crazy because everyone has time off work and school for Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. Its kinda cool/kinda freaky. hahah If you don’t know what it is look it up on the internet. Well our new apartment is ok. The outside looked like trash but we actually painted it this morning. We are not done yet but I will be sure to send pics next week when it is all finished. The bathroom is ok, the shower only has two settings cold or 3rd degree burn.

So on Thursday we were walking to a combi to take it to the Zone conference and when we were walking I felt something hit my head. Well I reached up to see what it was and it was fetching bird poop. It was either a flock of birds that hit me or a dragon cause it got my head, my suit coat and completely covered my backpack. Well we showed up late to the conference. haha President thought it was really funny. It’s funny now but in the moment I was ticked! hahah All the members tell me that its good luck! haha I don’t think so but we will see how it goes!

We baptized this week a lady that my companion had been teaching since before I got here. It went good!

I love you all. ¡Que le vaya bien!

Ups and Downs

Well this week was interesting. It’s definitely different from the offices. When I was there I was in the offices from 8 am till about 5 pm so it is a big change but I’m ready for it. I’m in a place called Texmelucan San Martin. It’s near the border of Puebla and about an hour from the offices. My companion is Elder Armenta. He is awesome. Im just a little worried because I only have two weeks to learn the area.

Well when I got in the bus to go to Alejandro’s baptism there was tons of traffic on the freeway so I thought I wasn’t going to make it and I was pretty sad about it. I told them to go ahead and start it and I’ll get there when I can. So I said a prayer on the bus that I would be able to see the baptism. Well when we showed up and entered the room they were opening the curtains to baptize him so I got to see it. Well I wasn’t there for the last week with him and after when he came out and sat down on the front row, they asked me to give me testimony. I went up front and started to share my testimony he got all excited and ran up to the front and gave me a big hug. It was so powerful and the spirit that was felt in the room was amazing. Almost everyone was crying. I didn’t get moved to tears but I had a huge smile on my face that wouldn’t go away.

So we went to Church on Sunday and it was the Primary Program. The last one I’ll see in Spanish. Then after we went to gospel principles class and I felt like I hit a brick wall. I got super sick, super fast. Well it turns out I got salmonella. The worst part of it was yesterday but I’m still feeling it today. But I did get a blessing yesterday and in the blessing it said that I would get better that day, and at the end of the day I was fine! I just feel super tired today. But I’m grateful for the priesthood and the blessings that it brings. (maybe it is because he ate this…)

Last we have a baptism on Saturday. It’s my companions investigator that he has been working with for a really long time. There are lots of people to teach here and I’m excited to do so. Please keep me in your prayers so that I can get back to full health. Love you all tons!!!
