I Stand All Amazed

First off I hope that everyone had an awesome week. This past week in Puebla was really spiritual and again full of miracles. Well I had changes this morning and Elder Alba left and I got a new comp and his name is Elder Gutierrez. He is really cool and we actually got to the mission at the same time. We get a long pretty good so far. It’s only been a day, but I don’t think we will have any problems. I also got called to be the District Leader here. So I’m excited about that.  I am super happy that I got to stay in this area, because we have a lot of things going our way right now!

Well I mentioned miracles so I better share what happened. We have an investigator and she has had a super hard time with all of what we are teaching her. She wanted to believe that it was true, but her parents are catholic and her husband and his family are from a different religion and they were all telling her to stop listening to us. Well we taught her about fasting and we decided to give it a shot. Well we started it with her and we saw her at church the next day. We went to gospel principals and everything was normal. Well after the class we were in the hall talking and a member came up and started talking to her. Well she started crying and got emotional, then right after a member of the stake presidency talked to us and her in a different room. Well after both of these things had happened, we asked her how she felt. She started crying and said she had got her answer that this was true, because in her prayer she asked Heavenly Father to have someone other than the missionaries to invite her to be baptized. Well both people did. Long story short, she is going to be baptized this week! I love seeing these miracles and feeling the spirit so strong! It’s super awesome!! I know that the Lord is watching over us!!

I love you all!!

Mission Milagros (Miracles)

Well I hope everyone had a great week! Elder Alba and I had an awesome week and we are loving it here! I love finding people and watching them change their lives to feel the Love of God. It’s such a cool thing to experience. Elder Alba and I hope that we stay together for at least one more change, because we have a lot of stuff going our way and seeing tons of miracles. We will just have to wait and see until next week though since changes are then.

Today we went to the center of the city and bought a few ties. I got some way cool ones. They are just simple and classy. I like them a lot and they are way cheap here. We also went into the catholic church of Puebla. Its so big!

I want to share a few experiences that happened this week. Well last Monday after P day we went out and every single appointment we had fell through. So we didn’t know what to do. Then I suggested we say a prayer to ask the Lord to lead us to the person that needs us in their live right now. We had a ton of faith and after the prayer we got to work. Knocking doors, and talking with people in the streets. Well we weren’t having tons of success this way, in fact, we hadn’t found anyone. Well right before we were going to go home for the night we decided to knock one last door. Well you’ll never believe what happened. A guy answered and it was the guy that the Lord had prepared for us. We taught him and he is super awesome!! I know from this experience more than I’ve ever known before, that god listens to our prayers!!! And that he loves each of his children.

Mother’s Day

Well yesterday was such a great day! I got to talk to my family through Skype and wish my Mom a happy Mother’s Day! It was awesome to get to talk to them and see them. They are all doing great!

We had a baptism this week as well. We baptized a kid named Kevin and he is 17 years old. He set up everything himself and the program went awesome. I was able to confirm him on Sunday as well. He is super excited to be the newest member of our ward.

Well I got an ingrown toenail. So I cut it out and thought that I had got it all, well I’m here to tell you that I didn’t. It started to hurt a lot again, but I wasn’t worried… But, I got worried when I couldn’t walk on it cause it hurt. So we went to a foot doctor and they had to take it out. It hurt so bad! They gave me a shot in my toe and that was the worst part. Then after they dug it out! Yeah there was no way I was getting that out on my own! hahah We took a cool video though and took some funny pics!!

Last of all I want to wish all Mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. But I want to wish one in particular. My Mom. I’m so thankful that I’m lucky enough to have such a caring, loving and the best Mom out there by my side though everything. I can’t even begin to thank her enough for all she has done, is doing, and will do for me! More than anything else and last of all, I LOVE YOU MOM!!!

¡Vida de un misionero!

¿Que dice? This week was a pretty good week. We worked hard, but we didn’t have tons of success, but we could feel the spirit and we were working hard, so what more could you ask for? Well I have come to love tacos árabes and it’s Elder Alba and I´s favorite food. The tacos here are crazy the way they cook them. It’s just a huge pile of meat and they cut a little off at a time and it’s heavenly! haha

We are super excited because we are going to have a baptism this week. His name is Kevin and he is 17 and he is super awesome. We are also teaching a family and they are progressing great and have been coming to church with us. They are a little scared for baptism right now, but we will keep working with them.

We had stake conference yesterday and it was really good. I’m learning tons from the Book of Mormon every morning and I love reading it. I also read D&C everyday and I love that as well. I’m reading the book The Infinite Atonement and it is super cool and it just blows my mind every time I read it and it’s super awesome.

In our apartment, we have all of these lines strung back and forth to hang up our clothes to dry. It’s super ghetto, and it gets humid in our house because of it.  We don’t have a washer but we wash in a families house and they are super awesome! They do so much for us. Their name is the Familia Casabal. They are great people and we go and play basketball with them every Monday morning.

Well Elder Alba and I are going to join a boxing gym. (don’t worry we got permission) so I might come home and take that up as a profession.

We had a really hard lesson this week with a guy that just tore into us for an hour and a half and told us we didn’t know what we were talking about and stuff. I was pretty mad, but I was grateful for that experience to feel the strength of the testimony that I do have!!

I’m super pumped to be able to talk to my family this week for Mother’s Day. I hope all you mothers out there have a great day as well!

Les amo!!!
