This week went by pretty fast! We had a full week of teaching and taught about 31 lessons this week which is pretty good. We also had three new investigators and all three have agreed to baptism. They are Yuritzi, Juan Carlos, and Anselmo! They are all really cool and humble. I can feel the spirit strong as we teach them.

I can’t believe that this week is Thanksgiving! With that in mind, I wanted to talk about all the things I’m thankful for. Since I’ve been here and have seen the poverty people live in I am extremely grateful for the blessings that I enjoy everyday at home. I have truly been blessed by the Lord in my Life! I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to serve the Lord! I am thankful for the scriptures and prayer. Those two things truly get me through each day. I’m thankful for all of you guys and the support and prayers on my behalf. And last, I’m thankful for my family and the knowledge that I will be able to spend eternity with them!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and never forget, at times you may feel alone in your life, but you are never truly alone. The savior and the Lord always is with you!

2 Months

RSCN0178[1]Well today marks exactly two months out it the field! Crazy how fast time goes! The language here is super hard, but my companion works with me everyday to teach me more and more. I learn new stuff everyday. I really do love it here! The weather is perfect too!

We had a baptism date, but it fell through because the girl didn’t come to church. We met with her and she committed to come this week so hopefully she does so we can get her back on track for baptism. Here in Mexico the investigator has to come to church at least 6 times before they can be baptized so its super hard.

My companion bought some body spray today and it smells like old man, so now our apartment smells like a rest home! Its terrible! haha

Last P day after I wrote we went to this fair and we watched some midgets bull fight and it was super funny when they were running around with their little legs and capes! Haha

Thats about all for this week! I heard a quote though that I want to share!

How far is Heaven?

It’s not very far,

In Temples of God,

It’s right where you are!

Love you all! and I’ll talk to you next week!!

Food in Mexico

Hey Everyone!

First I’m going to explain the title of my letter. At the beginning of this week I woke up on Monday night and was freezing! I even had on tons of blankets and clothes and I felt terrible! Well turns out me and my companion and some other missionaries all ate at this restaurant down the road and we all got a stomach infection from the food. And I got the worst of it! I had to go to the Doctor and get two huge shots in my butt! haha and it hurt more than you can imagine!!!  Also, they gave me some medications and now Im doing great!!

The language is still pretty hard. Sunday was the primary program for the little kids. I knew all the songs in english so I actually got to understand what was being said! haha I know that it will get better with time and with the help of the Lord. I can see that as I continue to learn more and more each week.

I went on exchanges this past week with another guy and he speaks no english too. But he’s super funny and we had a great time! He took a grasshopper and threw it into a huge spiders net and we watched this huge spider wrap it up and eat it! I got a picture of a similar spider near my house.

When it rains, it rains hard here! It comes down so hard that the streets flood with 4 to 5 inches of water in about ten minutes. Its so crazy, but it only rains for like 20 minutes and then its gone.

Spiritual thing this week is prayer. I know that prayer works! I have had so many of my prayers answered this week and I know that my Savior and Heavenly Father Live and Love me and are mindful of me out here.

Thanks for all the prayers on my behalf, I can feel them everyday! I love you all so much, and will talk to you soon!

First Week in Puebla

Wow this week has been weird!

I got here on Monday and my Mission President picked us up and we all went back to the Mission Home for some food! We also were trained some more and our President interview us and got to know each of us a little better. I love him! He also let us take a nap on Monday! haha

After that I went with a companionship for the night till transfers the next day! They lived in a sketchy place! haha You literally had to climb through a hole in a Wall to get to the apartment. In the morning we went out and taught till transfers. They made me talk about chastity! Talk about getting thrown into things! haha On the way to transfers a member took us. There wasn’t room in his truck for us so we road on the freeway in the back of a truck!

I got my companion Elder Rodríguez! He is way cool, but he only speaks Spanish!  He has been helping me a lot with my Spanish! We have a way nice apartment and we have a washing machine. Only like three apartments in the whole mission have one!

Food here is super good! I love it! They eat a chile with just about everything! We only have like one meal a day and its called Comida. It’s about at 4 in the afternoon and we eat a lot during that time. Other than that we just eat snacks. I had to eat a big plate of cooked mushrooms and I hate those! I did it so I wouldn’t make the lady feel bad. We eat at a members house for every comida. I also ate pig tongue tacos! They were actually pretty good.

Our area is a small Pueblo about an hour away from the big city. A pueblo is just a small town. I can see the volcano from our apartment. Its always smoking! Its kinda freaky! haha

The people here are awesome! And the Ward is great! This morning we played soccer and basketball with the Ward members! One guy in the Ward dislocated his knee during the game and just popped it back in and acted like nothing happened! HAHA

The language is super hard! I don’t have a clue what they are saying because they talk to dang fast!!

Love you all and thanks for all the prayers sent my way!!
